What can you expect?

WELCOME TO THE JACOB’S CHAPEL CHURCH FAMILY!

We look forward to your visit. Our Weekly Worship Celebration occurs on Sunday at 10:15 AM.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Expect to experience Godly fellowship, dynamic worship, and powerful preaching from The Word of God. Our services are approximately 90 minutes long.

WHAT TO WEAR:

We are a come as you are church. Some members prefer to wear a suit or dress; others are more comfortable in jeans and a button-down. We welcome you in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At Jacob’s Chapel, We believe in the classical Christian doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ. These beliefs are best summarized in the Apostles’ Creed, one of the oldest declarations of basic Christian faith.

Q – How do I become a member of Jacob’s Chapel United Methodist?

A – During a church service or Bible study, you will be invited to walk to the front where someone will meet and walk with you. You may also speak with the pastor to discuss membership.

Q – Does the church allow rental to non-members of church facilities for weddings, funerals and other events?

A – Yes, Jacob’s Chapel United Methodist allows space to be rented for varied events. For questions regarding the use of the facilities please contact churchadmin@jacobschapel.org or call (210) 227-2181.

Q – What ministries are available for children and youth?

A – We have the following ministries. All adult volunteers must successfully pass a criminal background check and be certified in Safe Gatherings training before starting: Children (Age 2-10 years old) Youth (6th-12th grades)

Q – If I will reside in San Antonio for a short time (i.e. due to college, job relocation, etc.), how can I join the church under Watch Care?

A – “Watch Care” allows believers from other congregations to connect. If the San Antonio area becomes a permanent home, we invite you to join as a regular member of the Jacob’s Chapel United Methodist family.
